Our images of God are important because they effect how we interact with others.
Have a think about these situations and consider how you would respond if your image of God was like the one suggested...

If your image of God is one where God starts wars, will you look for ways to heal relationships or justify your hurt. |
Whether we are aware of it or not, the way we picture God moulds us and people.
The person of Jesus is a great place for us to discover how we can live true to our images of God.
When God became human in Jesus we see what it means to
live in the image of God.
Through Jesus we understand we are here to serve others,
to treat everyone with respect and dignity.
We see it is important to think about others,
and we notice that God needs to be invited into our choices.
We see how to be people full of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self control.
Jesus shows us how we can refresh the image of God and be people who can change the world.
How do you want to live your life and develop more fully into what it means to be made in the image and likeness of God?
Do I need to change my image of God to do this?
